La Duquesita

La Duquesita is one of Madrid’s most iconic pastry shops. Founded in 1914, it remained in the hands of the Santamaría family for three generations before entering a new chapter in 2015 under the leadership of renowned pastry chef Oriol Balaguer.

At the end of 2021, La Duquesita expanded by opening a chocolate boutique and tea salon. Today, visitors can enjoy all its specialties across both adjoining spaces, including its famous croissants and puff pastries, signature cakes and desserts, and a selection of more than 14 different chocolates.

In late 2023, La Duquesita was named Best Pastry Shop in Madrid by the Royal Academy of Gastronomy, and in 2024, it won the award for Best Roscón in Madrid.
